The Legacy

Twenty Years of Legacy. Ten Years of Camp. One Faithful God.

On February 1, 2026, we pause to remember a life that continues to shape countless others — 20 years since the passing of Sgt. Henry Prendes, who gave his life in the line of duty on February 1, 2006.

Henry lived the truth of John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." His sacrifice was an act of courage — and an act of love.

This year also marks 10 years of summer camp ministry at Henry's Place — a place born from grief, sustained by faith, and filled with hope. Located in Cedar City, Utah, the camp includes a 9,000-square-foot Main Lodge, camper cabins, amphitheaters, a challenge course, disc golf, and wide-open spaces where hearts are opened and lives are changed.

Last summer alone, 158 campers attended over 11 weeks, and to date more than 500 young people have experienced hope, mentorship, and spiritual growth — at no cost to their families.
